Rotherham United have confirmed that Joshua
Kayode has joined League Two side Carlisle United on
loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old has been impressive since the
beginning of the season while on loan at Gateshead
and was rewarded with a contract extension by the
League one outfit until the summer of 2022.
Speaking to the official website of the Millers after the
deal was confirmed, Kayode reckons the loan move
will aid his development
“I’m looking forward to it and it’s going to be a real
test because it’s a Football League club and that’s
something new to me,” Kayode told

“Being at Gateshead has allowed me to realise what
three points mean, but the stakes are even higher this
time.
“Getting into the league was the next objective for me
and I’m delighted that is happening. I’m fuil of
confidence right now and I’m going to try my best for
the team.”
The Lagos-born forward will join fellow Nigerians
Kelvin Etuhu and Olufela Olomola at Carlisle United
who are 21st in the standings in the English fourth
tier.
