Napoli head coach Gennaro Gattuso is confident that Victor Osimhen will be a great asset to his team as the season progresses.
Gattuso gave Osimhen his debut against Parma last Sunday, the former Italian midfielder introduced the Nigerian striker with the score leveled at 0 – 0.
The introduction of the 21-year-old changed the game for Napolitano’s as Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne scoring the decisive goals.
Gattuso said Osimhen’s Impact on his team was massive.
“I knew that he could help us in the second half.
“Osimhen has a great attitude and is a better player than he’s shown on the pitch so far”.
The former AC Milan boss also praised the striker for his maturity and understanding of the game
‘In the 25 days I’ve been working with Osimhen, I can tell he doesn’t forget where he came from, and all the sacrifices he’s made, he lost his family at a young age. He has the head of a 40-year-old on a 21-year-old body, I’m confident that his attitude won’t change,” he said.
