Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has being in office for five years and a lot has happened, since he assumed office.
While the President, has not totally fulfilled all his electoral promises, he seems to be taking a lot of time to get things done right his own way.
This slow pace amongst other things has given room for attacks by celebrities, who have criticized the President over one issue, or another.
Here are some celebrities who have attacked President Buhari and their reasons as well.
1> Yemi Alade
Popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade joker the list of celebrities who have come into politics by criticizing the appointment of Ibrahim Gambari as President Muhammadu Buhari’s new chief of staff.
Mr Gambari, who is a retired diplomat and previously served in Buhari’s military government in the 1980s.
Yemi Alade heavily frowned at the appointment by the President as she didn’t think he was the right person to be chosen.
2> Femi Kuti
Afrobeat legend, Femi Kuti, son of Afrofest pioneer, Fela Kuti has once taken some time to attack President Buhari.
In 2018, Femi Kuti dissed President Buhari over hiding the state of his health to Nigerians.
Femi Kuti was of the opinion that the President should quit the deceit and lies and open up to the citizens of Nigeria, on the true state of his health.
Femi Kuti also described the 2016 inaugurated railway by President Muhammed Buhari as ‘inferior’ and ‘archaic’ at 8th edition of the symposium of The Fela Debates as part of the annual celebration to honour his late father.
Nigerian singer, Wizkid is not the type to usually dive into politics, or anything like that but he seemed to be tired of happenings in the country and decided to voice out.
In a tweet shared via his Twitter page, the singer attacked President Buhari over his non-achievement and called him “clueless”.

4> Burna Boy
Popular Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy is not the type to talk much about politics.
The singer in 2019 shared a tweet about Nigeria’s leaders not caring about the welfare of the common people.
We have real issues that we need to channel our energy to. We die everyday at the hands of police. We are robbed of our rights as human beings daily. Our recycled leaders don’t give a f**k about us,” the singer wrote on Instagram
5> Naira Marley
Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola is definitely one superstar singer.
But it is no doubt that the singer is quite controversial and ya managed to be fingered in a number of attacks aimed at different people on social media.
The singer sent out a tweet where he said he’s the only good in Nigeria, which In then means Buhari has been a bad leader, alongside other leaders.
